Terrific on Tuesdays: Horseradish Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are one of those foods that seemed foreign and scary when I was a kid. As an adult, I love this member of the cole family. With a nice cabbage-y crunch and a bit of a nuttiness, I like the little sprouts halved and roasted when I’m preparing them at home.

Recently, I was at Strong Place, where they serve a side dish of Brussels sprouts in a creamy horseradish sauce. Shredded and extremely creamy, it’s one of the best Brussels sprout dishes I’ve had. So next time you’re in Carroll Gardens, do check it out.
